Miramichi Independent Living Centre will be offering Free self Defense classes for people with mental and physical disabilities. These classes will begin November 19, 2009 @ 2:00 PM at the Golden Hawk Recreation Centre. The deadline to sign up for these classes is Friday, November 13, 2009 by 3:00pm.
The classes will consist of two parts:
Physical Self Defense will teach you how to physically conter-act attacks.
Mental Self Defense will build your confidence and teach you assertiveness so you can be mentally prepared to defend yourself. You may also be able to use the mental self defense to ward off any type of physical attack.
